Introducing Brand Banter: Business, Photography & Probably Too Much Caffeine
Well… Kodjo and I did a thing. We started a podcast!
If you know me, you know I have always loved talking about photography, running a small business, chasing big ideas and all the chaos that happens in between. I’ve wanted to start a podcast for a long time, but like most things in life, I kept waiting for the “right time.”
Spoiler alert: there is never a perfect time. Sometimes you just have to do the dang thing.
And that is exactly what Kodjo and I did!
What Is Brand Banter About?
Brand Banter is a fun, honest podcast about photography, branding, small-business life and everything we learn while trying to grow.
Kodjo is a photographer and wedding videographer. We met through a networking group and quickly realized that while we have many of the same goals, our approaches can be completely different—and honestly, that is what makes this podcast so much fun.
We talk about the things that work, the things that absolutely do not work and the lessons we usually learn the hard way. There will be plenty of photography talk, business advice, real-life stories, caffeine and probably a little friendly arguing along the way.
Why Did We Start a Podcast?
Because we both love photography, but we also love the business behind it.
We love dreaming up new ideas, helping other businesses show off what makes them special and having honest conversations about what it really takes to build something of your own. Small-business life can feel lonely, overwhelming and a little crazy. We wanted to create something that reminds people they are not the only ones figuring it out as they go.
Brand Banter gives us a place to talk about all of it—the wins, the mistakes, the growing pains and the moments that make us wonder what the heck we are doing.
And Honestly… We Love It
We knew we would enjoy recording the podcast, but I didn’t realize just how much I would love it.
It gives us another way to be creative, connect with people and share the real side of building a business. We get to laugh, learn, talk way too much and have conversations that we hope help another business owner feel a little less alone.
This podcast is not about pretending we have everything figured out. We definitely do not. It is about sharing what we have learned, asking questions and growing together.
So grab your coffee, Diet Coke or whatever keeps you going and come hang out with us!
Hopefully you laugh. Hopefully you learn something about photography, branding or running a small business. But most of all, I hope you hear how much passion we both have for what we do.
